Alastair Mellon

As a newly qualified Civil Engineer, Alastair helped build the original 12 stations on the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) before joining Olympia & York’s Canary Wharf development in 1989 to build the Cesar Pelli designed DLR station at the Wharf.

From late 1992, working for the UNHCR, Alastair helped plan and deliver housing for 25,000 Muslim refugees during the Civil War in Bosnia Herzegovina. After 6 year at ISG doing tenant fit out and 6 years at Stanhope, Alastair joined Berkeley Homes to secure consent and build out nearly a thousand residential units at Grosvenor Waterside (pictured right.) before establishing Providence in 2005.

Over the last 30 years Alastair has secured planning consent for more than 8m sq.ft of high quality schemes in London and has delivered in excess of 6m sq.ft of completed projects including London Bridge City Phase II with Foster & Partners, Chiswick Park with Richard Rogers, Paternoster Square with Eric Parry and Allies & Morrison and as advisor Hopkins & Partners on the 12m sq.ft Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

He has gained extensive experience leading the development of large scale, multi building, urban regeneration residential and commercial schemes in London and the Middle East with some of the leading professionals and signature architects in the world including B.I.G, Chipperfield, KPF, SOM, Make, Daniel Libeskind and Koetter Kim.

In an interim management role as Director of Development & Delivery at Sellar from 2016 - 2018, he was responsible for the design, planning and construction of more than 5m sq.ft of residential, commercial and mixed use schemes across London.

 

Nick Stuart

Nick has an excellent track record in the rail industry with a 360 degree understanding of the issues involved and what it takes to successfully deliver projects.

Over the past 32 years, Nick has worked on a number of major railway programmes including the Jubilee Line Extension, Lantau Airport Railway / Airport Express Line (Hong Kong), High Speed 1, West Coast Mainline Upgrade, King’s Cross St Pancras underground station redevelopment, Crossrail, LU track renewals programme, LU sub-surface upgrade programme, High Speed 2 and, most recently, the successful delivery of the Northern Line extension programme to Battersea Power Station

Working for client, project management, design and contractor organisations, Nick has held senior management positions with accountability for the delivery of significant aspects of each project. Establishing and leading diverse multi-disciplinary teams with extensive stakeholder engagement and collaboration Nick has established strong working relationships that have contributed to positive project outcomes.

This was evident during the period when Nick was the head of the King’s Cross St Pancras underground station redevelopment project where he spent 3 years leading the Metronet Rail delivery of the planning, procurement, design, construction and commissioning activities. During this period the new western ticket hall and upgrade of the existing tube ticket hall were completed.

As TfL’s deputy project director for the Northern Line extension, Nick was extensively involved in the strategic and tactical delivery of the project including the administration of and modifications to the over station development agreement with the Battersea Power Station Development Company.
